Welcome!
Tournament Info
We play No Limit Texas Hold-em freezeout style tournaments. In general, we do not offer rebuys or add-ons. Occasionally, we allow a dead stack to be bought if the situation is right. Sometimes we play a bounty tournament where part of the buyin is held as a "bounty" for the player that knocks you out.
We have had 2 "Special Events" in the past, and hope to hold more in the future. Check out the details of these events on their respective pages:
Dead Money Invitational (2006)
Dead Money World Series of Pearland (2007)
Blinds
The $40 buyin gets you $1700 in chips. Blinds start at a low 5/10 and increase in 20 minute levels as follows:
Level | Blinds |
---|---|
1 | 5 / 10 |
2 | 10 / 15 |
3 | 15 / 25 |
4 | 25 / 50 |
Break 1 | 10 Minutes |
5 | 50 / 100 |
6 | 75 / 150 |
7 | 100 / 200 |
8 | 150 / 300 |
Break 2 | 10 Minutes |
9 | 200 / 400 |
10 | 300 / 600 |
11 | 400 / 800 |
12 | 500 / 1000 |
Break 3 | 10 Minutes |
13 | 500 / 1500 |
14 | 1000 / 2000 |
Payouts
All money from buyins is returned in the form of payouts. The number of paid positions is dependant on the number of players. My basic formula is as follows:PLAYERS | PAYOUT |
---|---|
6-9 | 60-40 |
10-15 | 50-30-20 |
16-22 | 50-25-15-10 |
23-32 | 40-25-15-11-9 |
Cash Games
Often times a cash game will break out on an empty table while the tournament finishes. These games sometimes last well past the end of the tournament. General stakes are .25/.50 NL or the occasional .50/1.00 if we're feeling froggy. Max buyins for these games are 100xBB.Occasionally, we will also host a cash game when we're not doing a tournament. Usually we will play .50/1.00 blinds with max buyin of $100 (or half big stack for late buyins)
